Netanyahu: 'I hope we can cross the line toward a deal. We are working on it, we will not give up'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement to the press at Capitol Hill in Washington, after his meeting with U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, saying that "these are great days, but tainted with tragedy." He extended condolences to the families of the five soldiers from the Netzach Yehuda Battalion who fell in northern Gaza, as well as to the families of those affected by the floods in Texas. "President Trump and I believe in the doctrine of peace through strength," he stated. Regarding his upcoming meeting with the President, he said: "We are working on a deal and I hope we can cross the line toward it. We will not give up."
