Netanyahu: 'We have consigned Iran's nuclear program to oblivion, will thwart any attempt to revive it'

In a statement delivered this evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "The opening strike of a people rising like a lion will be recorded in the annals of Israel's wars and studied in all armies of the world. In one swift strike we eliminated Iran's senior command including three chiefs of staff and other senior officials, and at the same time eliminated the senior nuclear scientists who led the nuclear program and sought to bring destruction and death upon us. For decades I have promised that Iran will not have nuclear weapons and indeed, through all the brilliant operations our fighters carried out, we have consigned Iran's nuclear project to oblivion, and if anyone tries to revive the project, we will act with the same determination and strength to thwart any such attempt. Iran will not have nuclear weapons."
