Shin Bet Chief David Zini said in a statement at the Central Elections Committee control center in the Knesset that "the elections in Israel are secure, proper and supervised in an inspiring manner." According to him, "there are challenges and there are those who are trying to cause harm – but under the leadership of Justice Sohlberg and the Israel Police – we are succeeding." Central Elections Committee Chairman Noam Noam Solberg also addressed the gathering and said: "We are receiving reports from the field about long lines. Standing in line for 15 to 20 minutes is not fun, but on the other hand – looking at the big picture – a great many people are not giving up on their right to vote."
