Government ministers approved in a telephone poll the allocation of NIS 2.6 billion in 2026 for 'classified, urgent and essential defense procurement for the conduct of the fighting.' According to the approved decision, to finance it 'the budget designated for interest and fee payments in 2026 will be reduced by NIS 1.5 billion; and the budget of government ministries in fiscal year 2026 will be reduced by a total of NIS 1.1 billion, according to the amount of the overall reduction in each budget item, and according to the reduction of the authorization to commit budget of government ministries.'
