Actor Alon Aboutboul is the man who collapsed and died at Bonim Beach. Aboutboul passed away at the age of 60. According to witnesses, he was swimming in the sea at an unofficial beach near Neve Yam and Bonim Beach. When he came out of the water, he told those present that he wasn't feeling well - and collapsed. Paramedics who arrived at the scene performed resuscitation attempts and fought for his life for over an hour, until they were forced to pronounce his death. Aboutboul, who was married to Shir Bilya, is survived by four children.
