Deputy Minister Tessler resigns from Knesset under Norwegian Law - former MK to return

Shilo Freid|
Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana's office announced that Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports, Yaakov Tessler of United Torah Judaism, submitted his resignation letter from the Knesset under the Norwegian Law. Eliyahu Baruchi from the Degel HaTorah faction - which represents the Lithuanian stream in United Torah Judaism - is expected to return as an MK in his place. Baruchi was removed from the Knesset following the resignation of former Housing Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf, after the bill to dissolve the Knesset failed to pass a preliminary reading.
