Witchcoff: 'Optimistic about closing deal with Hamas, there is great momentum'

|
U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witchcoff spoke with the Jewish community in the Hamptons, New York, and said he is "optimistic on three fronts: the chances of closing a deal with Hamas soon, reaching an agreement with Iran that would deny it enrichment capabilities and expanding normalization agreements to include Syria and Lebanon." According to him, "Normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel will take more time and may not be part of the Abraham Accords, but rather something else significant." He added that "in negotiations for a hostage deal, great efforts are being made to also return bodies. There is great momentum for a deal and it is moving in the right direction."
