IDF spokesperson announced that "from a preliminary and thorough examination," it appears that "there are no known casualties as a result of IDF fire" in central aid distribution areas in the Gaza Strip on August 6. This comes after the Palestinian Football Association claimed that former player Suleiman al-Obeid, nicknamed the "Palestinian Pelé," was killed by IDF fire while waiting for humanitarian aid. Al-Obeid, who was 41 at the time of his death, left behind a wife and five children.
