The Shin Bet and Israel Police announced they thwarted a terror attack planned against IDF soldiers in Jerusalem and arrested an 18-year-old resident of Umm al-Fahm on suspicion of pledging allegiance to ISIS and planning to carry out an attack in the Old City area. Over the past month, an investigation was conducted during which he was arrested on suspicion of committing serious offenses against state security, membership in a terrorist organization and preparing to carry out an act of terror. Searches of his home yielded findings and digital materials that strengthen the suspicions against him. Upon completion of the investigation, a prosecutor's statement was filed against him today ahead of the submission of an indictment.
