Russia's state nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom, claimed that a drone launched by Ukraine hit the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and caused damage to a wall in a machine room. It was claimed that vital equipment at the facility was not damaged, but a hole remained in the wall. The plant is located in the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian territory that has been partially under Russian occupation since the major invasion in February 2022.
