The commander of the intelligence effort for prisoners and missing persons, Maj. Gen. (res.) Nitzan Alon, said that the hostages in the Gaza Strip "are in some constant danger to their lives - both from the activities of our forces and from the cruel Hamas kidnappers." According to Alon, who spoke at the event "Children of the Gaza envelope draw October 7" at the Ben-Gurion House in Tel Aviv, "We need to do everything to preserve their lives, not harm them and of course achieve the required results." He added: "This has even reached New York and Washington, and I hope that the developments happening there today will drive the moves that will end this war."
