Smotrich on applying sovereignty in West Bank: 'Maximum territory - minimum Arabs'

|
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said during a declaration he delivered together with Yesha Council Chairman Israel Gantz regarding the sovereignty plan in Judea and Samaria that "the broad consensus in favor of sovereignty stems from the understanding that we must not allow an existential threat to operate within us. The time has come to apply Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria and remove the division of this tiny land from the agenda." Smotrich called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to apply sovereignty in the West Bank and added that his intention is to apply Israeli law to 82% of Judea and Samaria territories - leaving 18% for the Palestinians. "Maximum territory - minimum Arabs," he said.
