Netanyahu: 'The people are sovereign, hope we can return to understandings between authorities'

|
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the opening ceremony of the Knesset Museum and said that its location in the heart of the city "gave informal expression to a fundamental principle in democracy - the people are sovereign." According to Netanyahu, "The people elect their representatives in the parliament, in the Knesset, and through them the government that will manage state affairs. In those years, each authority knew its place and role. There was balance and mutual respect between the authorities. I hope we can return to these understandings of those days - it was good for everyone."
