A source in Egypt's Foreign Ministry told Ynet that Cairo has decided not to appoint a new ambassador to Tel Aviv, following Israel's announcement of plans to expand military operations against Hamas in Gaza Strip as part of Operation Gideon's Chariots. The source also indicated that Egypt decided not to approve credentials for Israeli Ambassador to Egypt Uri Rotman, who was recently appointed by the government and currently remains in Israel.
