Tomer Shuster advances to semifinals at European Swimming Championships

Israeli swimmer Tomer Shuster qualified for the semifinals in the 50-meter backstroke after finishing ninth in the preliminaries with a time of 24.62 seconds – a personal best just two hundredths of a second away from the Israeli record, which secured him a ticket to the 2027 World Championships. In the 200-meter freestyle, Denis Loktev finished in 18th place (1:47.21 minutes) and was ranked as the first reserve for the semifinals. The 4x100 freestyle relay team finished tenth (3:15.45 minutes) and will serve as the second reserve for the final.
