Katherine Almonte de Costa, who was supposed to fill a position in the team of New York City Mayor-elect Zoharah Mamdani, resigned following social media posts she published more than a decade ago containing antisemitic statements. De Costa expressed regret about the posts, which were exposed by the Anti-Defamation League. She stated that "the statements reflected in these posts do not represent who I am, including as a mother of Jewish children. I feel deep sadness and regret for the hurt I have caused."
