Defense Minister Israel Katz signed a state immunity certificate as part of the criminal proceedings against MK Tali Gotliv, who is suspected of publishing the name of a senior Shin Bet official at the start of the war. Without an immunity certificate, which the defense minister is authorized to sign, it would not have been possible to proceed with the legal process. It should be noted that once the indictment is filed in court, Gotliv will claim parliamentary immunity. Gotliv wrote on X that approval from the Knesset Committee is still required for the move: "And I fully intend to convince the coalition members to let me keep my immunity." The Knesset Committee has a coalition majority, so it is possible that Gotliv's immunity will remain intact.
