Hanni Bleiweiss affair: Investigation concluded, case transferred for review and prosecution decision

|
The National Unit for Fraud Investigations (Lahav 433) has concluded its investigation into suspected witness harassment and obstruction of justice following a report broadcast on the 'Uvda' program, which covered the alleged activities of Hanni Bleiweiss, who served as the Prime Minister's chief of staff. Bleiweiss is accused of leading, together with others and at the behest of others, operations of witness harassment, obstruction of justice and invasion of privacy against witnesses and public officials involved in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial. The investigation also uncovered alleged correspondence between the Prime Minister's wife Sara Netanyahu and Bleiweiss. Netanyahu was not questioned and no testimony was taken from her. The case has been transferred to the prosecution for review before a decision is made.
