A rabid cow was found in the community of Mevo Hama in the Golan Heights. The Health Ministry reported that five people who were exposed to the cow were referred to receive preventive treatment against the disease. The ministry requested that anyone who came into contact, or whose animals came into contact in nearby areas, with the infected animal or a stray animal between Jan. 16, 2026, and Feb. 2, 2026, urgently contact the Kinneret Health Bureau at 04-6710300 or the health bureau nearest to their place of residence to receive preventive treatment.
