The Meteorological Service warned of increased fire risks on Memorial Day due to expected heat wave conditions. The service reported that on Memorial Day, which begins tomorrow, temperatures are expected to reach 36-38 degrees Celsius (97-100°F) in the lowlands, creating dangerous conditions for fire spread. 'Fire safety rules must be strictly followed,' the service stated. The Meteorological Service added that between Memorial Day and Independence Day, the heat wave will begin to break, with winds strengthening to reach speeds of 80-90 kilometers per hour, particularly inland and in Jerusalem.
