The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment with the Tel Aviv District Court against homeless man Guy Achtlinger (45) for the murder of yeshiva student Yishai Pur (52) in Bnei Brak last month. According to the indictment, Achtlinger and the late Pur knew each other from Torah studies at a kollel in the city, and about a week before the murder, Achtlinger threatened that he would "take his head off," and for an unknown reason decided to murder him. A few days later, he stabbed Pur to death in front of his 13-year-old son. The indictment charges Achtlinger with murder under aggravated circumstances, abuse of a minor and obstruction of justice. The prosecution requested that he be detained until the end of proceedings.
