|
Police have filed a prosecutor's statement against a 22-year-old Jaffa resident on suspicion of murdering Mohammed Katwan on Leib Ben Sarah Street in the city. The shooting was reported on August 30, and two people were seriously and critically injured in the incident. Katwan, a Jaljulia resident with a criminal record, was pronounced dead at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon. According to the suspicion, a motorcyclist ambushed the victims who were in a vehicle in a side parking lot, shot at them and fled the scene. He was arrested three days later, and during a search in his residential area, a pistol with a magazine and ammunition were seized. In the coming days, the Tel Aviv Prosecutor's Office will file a serious indictment against him and a request for detention until the end of proceedings.
