The Prime Minister's Office announced that in a covert Mossad operation, approximately 2,500 documents, photographs and personal belongings of Mossad operative Eli Cohen, who was executed in 1965 in Damascus's Al-Marjeh Square, were brought to Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad Director Dadi Barnea presented several original documents and personal items from the findings recovered in Syria to Nadia Cohen, the spy's widow. Among the documents was the original will, which Cohen wrote hours before his execution and of which only a copy had been publicly known until now.
