IDF and police forces worked overnight to disperse a gathering of about 40 settlers who arrived at the village of Malik in the Benjamin area, near Ramallah - days after a violent incident occurred there in which Palestinians were killed and significant property damage was caused. According to security officials, the settlers, who apparently came from a new outpost established near the village, violently attacked the forces. Nine suspects were arrested at the end of the incident. The reserve soldiers were attacked by settlers with beatings, chokings, and stone-throwing. Among the soldiers attacked was the battalion commander himself. In addition, the settlers also punctured the tires of security forces' vehicles that arrived at the scene.
