Riot at Solberg's Home: Police Car Was Present but Didn't Intervene, Officers Fled

|
During the hearing to extend the detention of suspects in the violent riot at the home of Supreme Court Deputy President Noam Solberg in Alon Shvut, it was revealed that a police patrol car was at the scene but decided not to intervene in the disturbance. A police representative said there was "a disparity in forces" and confirmed that officers decided to flee the scene: "It's not reasonable for a pair of officers to arrive facing a crowd of dozens of people." The detention of some of the suspects was extended by six days.
