IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a tour and situation assessment in Khan Younis, where he met with soldiers and commanders operating in the field. The assessment included Southern Command head Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asur, Head of Operations Maj. Gen. Itzik Cohen, Head of Intelligence Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder and other commanders. The Chief of Staff told the soldiers that "all roads lead to one place. All the options we present have one goal - returning the hostages. We are determined to achieve the goals we defined: hostages, defeating Hamas and returning our communities securely. You are creating new opportunities that we discuss with the political level, we present all options."
