Israel's Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter provided an update on his son Neriah, who was injured in the ramming attack at a checkpoint on Route 443, saying he is still on a ventilator. He added on X: "As I sit by his bedside, I am thinking about what would be the most appropriate message to convey before the holiday begins. My first thought is about the tremendous appreciation and gratitude I feel for the support we have received and the prayers for him. Please continue to pray for his recovery in the hope that next Simchat Torah he will be able to celebrate with his wife and children." He also added that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited him at the hospital.
