Kobi Samrano, father of slain hostage Yonatan Samrano, announced in a social media post that his son was recovered last night in an IDF and Shin Bet operation. "Yesterday was his Hebrew birthday. On the day he was born, our Yonatan was recovered in a heroic operation," the father wrote. "From the first moment, I believed wholeheartedly that our army would bring him back, I never stopped believing and it happened. We were privileged to live beside you for 21 and a half years of light, and today, in a new light. You've returned to us, beloved son, wrapped in the light of bravery and the faith of an entire nation." Samrano was killed and abducted from Kibbutz Be'eri after fleeing from the Nova party.
