E3 countries call on Tehran to return to negotiations, Germany: 'Iran has crossed red lines'

|
Leaders of the E3 countries (Britain, France and Germany) issued a joint statement calling on Iran to return to negotiations regarding its nuclear program. "We remain committed to peace and stability for all countries in the region and emphasize again our support for Israel's security. Iran must not have nuclear weapons and can no longer pose a security threat to the region," they stated. Meanwhile, Germany's foreign minister said that Iran "has crossed red lines with its nuclear program. It is legitimate to prevent it from obtaining nuclear weapons."
