|
The Nahal Brigade commander met with the three brigade soldiers who were sentenced after refusing to enter Gaza. During the conversation, the brigade commander expressed his appreciation to the soldiers for their actions during the war while emphasizing that soldiers are expected to maintain military discipline and fulfill their mission - fighting on the battlefield - during wartime. In light of the circumstances, the commander decided to commute their prison sentence. As an alternative to imprisonment, the soldiers will serve base confinement. After the confinement period, they will be transferred from combat positions to other roles, alongside a process of support and treatment from their commanders and mental health professionals in the unit.
