Turkey's intelligence service (MIT) intercepted 1,300 beepers bound for Lebanon in Istanbul, just days after the Mossad's beeper operation against Hezbollah operatives, according to Turkish newspaper 'Sabah.' The report states that one day before the explosions in Lebanon, four pallets arrived from Taiwan via a cargo plane from Hong Kong. These pallets contained 61 boxes weighing 850 kg. The shipping manifest listed the contents as 'food chopper.' Turkish security units opened the boxes one after another, accompanied by a bomb disposal unit. During the inspection, 1,300 beepers were discovered.
