With About 60% of Votes: Ohad Segev Wins Akko Mayoral Election

|
Former Akko Municipality CEO Ohad Segev won the repeat mayoral election in the city. Segev received about 60% of residents' votes, while about 40% voted for incumbent Mayor Amihai Ben Shlosh. The Supreme Court ruled last month that the Akko election would be held again due to a series of serious irregularities in the last election campaign. This came after Segev's lawsuit against Ben Shlosh, the election committee and the city's election manager regarding vote buying in the last election was accepted.
