The foreign ministers of Germany, France, Italy and Britain issued a joint statement expressing their 'deep concern' following the advancement of legislation to expand the death penalty for terrorists in Israel. A death penalty bill for terrorists, promoted by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, is expected to come up for a vote in the Knesset plenum tomorrow. Among other provisions, the bill proposes that there would be no possibility of pardon or commutation of sentence.
