Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced new recruits from the reservist organization Katef el Katef joining his party. The organization was established in 2024 in response to legislation exempting ultra-Orthodox from military service. It was reported that Yonatan Shalev (23), one of the organization's founders, has joined and will be placed 'at the top of the list,' though his exact position was not specified. Shalev said: 'On behalf of our generation and in the name of the friends we lost in battle, we are heeding the call of the hour and stepping forward to bring about change. Naftali Bennett is the only leader who can rehabilitate the nation and rebuild the state. We will represent young people with dignity and responsibility. We will do everything so that we can look our children in the eyes and say we were there, we built, we saved.' If elected, he would become the youngest Knesset member ever.
