Solberg approves Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir and police chief meeting despite attorney general's position

|
Central Elections Committee Chairman Justice Noam Solberg approved the meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Police Commissioner Danny Levy regarding election integrity. In his decision, he argued that no substantive basis for disrupting the elections was presented. "Election integrity, election management and execution - all of these fall under the Central Elections Committee and its chairman according to their authority. The prime minister, and certainly the national security minister, are permitted to meet with the police commissioner on general matters of maintaining public order and to request that he present to them the police's preparations," he stated.
