Report: Trump considering taking control of Venezuela's oil industry - and lowering barrel prices

|
The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. President Donald Trump and his advisers are working on an initiative to control Venezuela's oil industry in the coming years, and that the president told his aides he believes his efforts could help lower oil prices to $50 per barrel. Sources familiar with the matter told the American newspaper that the plan under consideration includes exercising certain U.S. control over Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA, including purchasing and marketing most of the company's oil production.
