The IDF has begun implementing a surprise Chief of Staff readiness test called "Dawn Rising" to check the readiness and preparedness of the General Headquarters and main commands in the military, as well as the alert forces and "the ability to deal with a sudden, extensive, complex and multi-arena event." This was reported by the IDF spokesperson, who added that the test was initiated under the direction of IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir. According to the military, the test will include surprise scenario drills and multi-arena events across all war zones.
