El Al announced it will resume its flight route to Eilat after more than a decade. As part of the route, which will initially operate only during the upcoming winter, El Al will operate two daily flights, in the morning and evening. The flights, which will begin on October 21, will operate on Boeing 737 aircraft. Eilat Mayor Eli Lankri said: "This is a necessary step for the proper functioning of the city residents' main transportation artery. El Al's return aligns with the plan we are promoting with government ministries to arrange regular flights at high frequency and subsidized prices."
