Representatives of the 'October Council,' which includes over 1,500 bereaved families, families of hostages, captivity survivors and October 7 massacre survivors, announced at a press conference at the Sderot Conference that "the government declared it will never establish a state commission of inquiry, leaving us no choice but to fight for early elections." They emphasized: "If we wait until the elections in October 2026, it means that even three years after the disaster in which we lost our loved ones, a state commission of inquiry will still not be established, and meanwhile documents will be shredded, testimonies will be coordinated and important information will be erased."
