A 38-year-old woman was killed in an explosion in the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki on Saturday. Local police told Reuters that 'she appeared to be carrying an explosive device and planned to plant it in a bank branch. Something went wrong and it exploded in her hands.'
An investigation into the incident has been launched. According to local reports, the woman was known to police for her involvement in robbery cases.
