PM's Office: Israeli released after 3 months in Jordanian prison

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that Mahmoud Salama, an Israeli citizen who was imprisoned in Jordan for about three months, has been returned to Israel and handed over to the coordinator for prisoners and missing persons. According to the statement, after contacts held in recent months with the assistance of the Shin Bet, Foreign Ministry and police, he was transferred from Jordan to Israel via the Jordan River crossing. Salama will undergo medical examinations, be questioned and meet with his family. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by security forces.
