Recruit Protests Outside General's Office: 'Avi Blut - Stop Administrative Detention'

A soldier in basic training was arrested on suspicion of protesting against the use of administrative detention outside the office of Central Command Chief Major General Avi Blut, after arriving at the Central Command base in Jerusalem. The soldier held up signs, one of which read 'Avi Blut - Stop Administrative Detention.' On another sign, he wrote a protest statement about the detention of a suspect in the assault of Palestinians. The recruit was arrested and will subsequently face a military trial.
