Qatar PM: 'Hamas ready to discuss ways it will not pose threat to Israel'

|
Qatar's Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Thani said in an interview with the New York Times that "Hamas is ready to discuss how it will no longer pose a threat to Israel." The American newspaper reported that the mediators who helped reach an agreement for the release of hostages and a ceasefire in Gaza decided to postpone more complex issues, such as Hamas' weapons arsenal, because "the parties were not ready for a comprehensive agreement." The day before yesterday, Al-Thani said at a summit in Paris: "If we had conducted full negotiations, we would not have achieved these results."
