Young adult author and journalist Noa Rom has died at the age of 49, just days before her birthday. Rom is survived by her son, Ori. Her brother, Yuval Rom, bid farewell to her in a Facebook post: "My beloved sister, rest in peace." Rom worked as an entertainment and culture reporter for the weekly magazine "Pnai Plus" (published by "Yedioth Ahronoth"), and later published the young adult book "It Will Pass Before Your Bat Mitzvah" and additional books in the "How Wonderful You Are" and "Noga" series. "My New Life" and "Friendships" are other book series she wrote for teenagers.
