Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson announced that the fire that broke out at the Tel Dan Nature Reserve in the Galilee Panhandle has been "contained." However, it was noted that firefighting operations are expected to continue into the night. Incident Commander Chief Fire Officer Gadi Azulai said that "the fire spread through the reserve's stream vegetation and due to the winds. Thanks to close cooperation between all forces in the field, we managed to stop the fire and minimize damage to the nature reserve." The Israel Nature and Parks Authority reported that there are still hotspots reigniting in the fire and that forces on the ground are handling the extinguishing efforts.
