U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose "100% tariffs on all Canadian goods and products entering the United States" if Canada finalizes a trade agreement with China. Trump mocked Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney with the title "Governor Carney" and wrote that "he is gravely mistaken if he thinks he can turn Canada into a Chinese port. China will eat Canada alive, completely swallow it and destroy its businesses, social fabric and Canadian way of life."
