American actor James Ransone from 'The Wire' dies at 46

Actor James Ransone died Friday at the age of 46. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office, Ransone's death was ruled a suicide. Ransone played the dockworker turned petty criminal, Chester "Ziggy" Sobotka, in 12 episodes of the second season of "The Wire." Ransone also starred alongside Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård in the series "Generation Kill." He portrayed Marine Corps Corporal Josh Ray Person throughout all seven episodes of the HBO mini-series, which followed a reporter embedded with the Marines' First Recon Battalion. In 2019, Ransone played the adult version of Eddie Kaspbrak, a shy limousine driver from Derry, in the film "It: Chapter 2."
