The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment in the Be'er Sheva District Court against Soraya Abu Arar, a 42-year-old resident of Arara, for negligent homicide after causing a traffic accident that killed Eliav Abkasis and his fiancée Shahaf Danino last October. According to the indictment, Abu Arar crossed a solid separation line to overtake a vehicle on Route 310 near Lehavim, drove in the opposite lane, and accelerated to a speed of 124 km/h. During the overtaking maneuver, she collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle carrying Abkasis and Danino.
