Environmental organizations petition against government to appoint representatives to committees delayed for over two years

|
Four environmental organizations – the Society for the Protection of Nature, Adam Teva V'Din, Jewish National Fund (KKL) and Life and Environment – filed a petition to the High Court of Justice against Acting Interior Minister Yariv Levin and Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman, requesting them to appoint representatives from the petitioning organizations to planning institutions, which have been delayed for more than two years. According to the petition, dozens of appointments to district committees and additional planning institutions are being delayed because Minister Silman has not yet forwarded her recommendation to the Interior Minister, despite his request for her required input.
