Ben-Gvir: High Court ruling on protests is reckless, Temple Mount and Western Wall access should be approved to avoid discrimination

|
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir claimed that the High Court's decision to allow protests with a broader participant limit than approved by the Home Front Command is a "reckless decision." Amid the High Court hearing on petitions regarding opening the Western Wall and Temple Mount for prayers, he reiterated the police position presented in the hearing: "From the moment the High Court approved the Hostages Square protests, we cannot apply one rule to the square and another to the Temple Mount, and it is impossible to discriminate against a huge public. The High Court must approve the option to ascend both the Temple Mount and the Western Wall in small groups."
